MINI Countryman in PANEK Rent a Car
It was 1959 when Sir Alec Issigonis and his team completed a small car project for the masses. A small car that can accommodate 4 adults captured the minds of not only the British, but also other Europeans and Americans. Since the premiere of MINI, we count the modern era in the history of the automotive industry, and the car, which was a response to the fuel crisis of that time, has become an icon of pop culture.
Literally everyone wanted to drive the MINI. The car immediately after its premiere caused hysteria in people comparable to the concerts of the Beatles and Rolling Stones. Cinema and stage stars, famous and influential people, politicians and lawyers. Everyone had their own “Miniak”. 63 years later, we also have it at PANEK Rent a Car.
Countryman or MINI in the Maxi version
The cars available at PANEK Rent a Car are, however, a completely different, but equally beautiful story. In 2001, the MINI brand was bought by the German concern BMW, which gave nice cars not only a new life, but also provided the technology that the British so lacked. The new MINI has become larger, more serious, but still filigree compared to the extensive competition. The modern generation of the car sold like hot cakes, but the new owner wanted something more than just reviving the legend, which is why several body variants have been created over the years, the most interesting of which are the Paceman (three-door Crossover) and Clubman (with double-opening tailgate) and their debut in 2010 MINI Countryman. This largest, even family representative of the MINI range is currently the most-bought model in the model range.
The current, second generation of the MINI Countryman, available for rent from PANEK Rent a Car, debuted on the market in 2016, and two years ago it underwent a facelift, receiving a number of references to the British Union Jack flag.
The car is 4,297 mm long and 1,822 mm wide (2,001 mm with mirrors). This interesting Crossover is 1557 mm high and its wheelbase is 2670 mm. The car was built according to the old school, represented by the first MINI, keeping the body overhangs short and the wheels practically in the corners of the body. Thanks to these measures, the car has great proportions, and is also comfortable to drive and is extremely handy in the city. The LED rear lights with the British Empire flag inscribed in it are eye-catching.
Stylish interior
The dashboard with a huge multimedia screen inscribed in a circle, which in turn is a stylistic reference to the first MINI, comes to the fore. There, the counter was in the center of the desktop. The second digital screen, tucked behind the steering wheel, is the instrument cluster with a speedometer. The seats are sporty, deep and support the body well when cornering. Two people will be comfortable in the rear, and the luggage compartment has a capacity of 450 dm3 and is very easy to arrange.
PANEK Rent a Car strongly focuses on the safety and comfort of its customers, which is why it provides well-equipped cars for rent. On board, therefore, could not miss the mounting of IsoFix seats, also on the front passenger seat, sensors and rear view camera, automatic, dual-zone air conditioning, heated seats, LED headlights with cornering light functions. The driver can use the adaptive cruise control with automatic braking, the multimedia system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as an extensive styling package, including a black roof, anthracite headlining and Piano Black dashboard trim.
Dynamically and economically
The rental cars are equipped with a 1.5-liter supercharged gasoline engine with 136 HP and 220 Nm torque available in the range of 1,480-4100 rpm, mated to a 7-speed automatic, dual-clutch transmission. This configuration allows you to accelerate to 100 km / h in 9.7 seconds and achieve fuel consumption on the road of 7 l / 100 km. The engine eagerly turns into revolutions and gains speed efficiently, especially on the road. The gearbox changes gears very efficiently, which further enhances the driving pleasure. The suspension is bouncy and sporty. The cars are already available at PANEK Rent a Car. They will certainly look great in many ski resorts this winter.
