Italy is a country that attracts tourists from all over the world all year round. In summer, it tempts with a warm sea, and in winter, with excellent ski conditions, and the Free Ski offer in many regions is an additional advantage. You can get to winter resorts by car from Warsaw in about 14 hours. It is just over 1,300 km of the route leading, among others, through the Czech Republic and Austria. Inhabitants of western Poland will certainly choose the route through Germany and Austria. For such a long journey, we recommend choosing one of our safe and comfortable cars from PANEK Rent a Car.
Livigno – Free Ski 16.04 – 01.05
The Free Ski offer in Livigno is a tradition that goes back at least a dozen or so years. The resort is one of the highest Italian ski resorts (1,815 m above sea level), so you can go skiing here until May. It is also said to be one of the sunniest in the whole of Italy, and heavy snowfall makes the conditions for winter sports simply exemplary. Livigno is called “Little Tibet” by the inhabitants themselves. There is a cold and dry climate here, which is felt more at high altitude than in the lower resorts. The 14 km long valley borders on one side with the Swiss Engadin valley and on the other with the Italian Alta Valtellina. The entire resort offers 115 km of ski and snowboard slopes and 2 snow parks serviced by 30 lifts. There are as many as 12 routes marked in black, of which the famous Scoiattolo starts at an altitude of 2700 m. It can overcome even the best, but Livigno is not only lucky for the champions. Guests have at their disposal 37 black and 29 blue beginner’s runs. Livigno is also a duty-free zone, which for many years has been an additional magnet attracting tourists from all over the world. It is worth refueling your car here, as the fuel price differentials compared to the rest of Italy are significant. This year, you will be able to ski for free in the second half of April, but to get the promotion you must strictly follow the booking rules provided on the website www.livigno.eu. There you will find detailed instructions, an offer of hotels and apartments participating in the “free ski pass” program and a booking form.
Val di Sole – Free Ski 11.03 – 03.04
Anyone who is fed up with gray and cold should go skiing in the famous Italian Valley of the Sun. This unique region has a wide range of attractions to offer, from fantastic hotels, through iconic restaurants, to an offer targeted at families with young children. Marileva, Folgarida, Paso Tonale and Pinzolo attract lovers of white madness. There are plenty of possibilities. During your week-long vacation, you will certainly not have enough time to try them all, the more so because they are connected together. You have to be well-versed so that at the end of the day you don’t find yourself in the iconic Madonna di Campiglio, for example. This resort, although located on the other side of the mountain, is 13 km away from Folgarida and you will have to ask your friends for a lift. The most advanced ski resort in Val di Sole is Pejo. This unique ski station is one of the leading European resorts. The bottom station of the Pejo Fonti cable car is located at an altitude of 1,400 m above sea level. Skiers are elevated to a height of 2,000 m, and then, in a car that can accommodate 100 people at a time, climb to an altitude of 3,000 m above sea level. From here they descend the red 8 km long trail, leaving behind the soaring peaks of the Parco dello Stelvio mountains. We have covered only 2 of the many ski regions in Northern Italy. Most of them have their own Free Ski offers, so when planning your vacation, check exactly where and on what terms you will be able to use the free ski pass.
